Key Construction Elements:
The key construction elements for this project included the complete refurbishment of the ablution facilities, incorporating accessibility upgrades to meet the needs of children with disabilities. This involved replacing damaged ceiling tiles, installing new lighting, and repainting walls to create a brighter, more hygienic environment. New urinals, toilet pans, and cisterns were fitted to improve functionality, while fixtures and layouts were adapted for ease of use and accessibility. Durable, non-slip flooring and modern fittings were selected to enhance safety, and all work was carried out in compliance with relevant building and accessibility standards, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming space for all users.
Outcome:
The outcome of this project is a fully modernised and accessibility-compliant ablution facility that offers a safer, more hygienic, and user-friendly environment for children with disabilities. The upgrades have improved functionality, enhanced safety through better lighting and non-slip surfaces, and created a brighter, more welcoming space. By incorporating accessible fixtures and thoughtful design elements, the facility now supports the independence and comfort of its users while meeting all relevant building and safety standards.
