Project Description:

The primary objective for Ecotide at Parow East Primary School was the removal of old and damaged asbestos roofing material, modifications to timber roofing structures, and replacement with new Saflok 700 0.53mm Thunderstorm grey AZ200 roof sheets. The job entailed the replacement of approximately 2700m2 of roofing material and was completed on the 4th July 2025.

Key Construction Elements:

The biggest challenge faced during the commission of this job was the adherence to strict asbestos protocols while the children still required the use of the facilities at the school concurrently. All clearances were obtained timeously in this respect as a testament to the planning and attention to detail whilst roofworks were conducted. 

Outcome:

Ecotide’s scope of works was successfully completed on this project by the 4th July 2025.
